Spotify vs. Apple Music: Which One Is Better?

I recently came across an interesting article comparing Spotify and Apple Music over at Prisma, and it really got me thinking about the differences between the two. As someone who has used both services for years, I wanted to share my experience and hear what others think.

I’ve been subscribed to both Spotify and Apple Music since their launch in the U.S., and while I find myself using Spotify more often for its playlists and social features, I actually prefer Apple Music’s sound quality and interface. For example, Apple Music offers lossless streaming and Dolby Atmos, which I feel gives a richer sound, especially when listening to older albums. Plus, their mobile app has a cleaner design, making it easier for me to navigate my library.

On the other hand, Spotify’s algorithm for music recommendations is fantastic, and I love the community aspect, where I can follow friends and see what they’re listening to. However, Spotify’s frequent app updates sometimes feel chaotic to me, and I miss the option to customize my experience more, which Apple Music seems to handle better.
